A Course in Miracles: Instructions for Residing a Satisfying Life
The beginnings of A Class in Wonders may be tracked back to the relationship between two individuals, Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford, equally of whom were outstanding psychologists and researchers. The course's inception happened in the early 1960s when Schucman, who had been a scientific and research psychiatrist at Columbia University's University of Physicians and Surgeons, started to have some internal dictations. She described these dictations as originating from an interior style that identified it self as Jesus Christ. Schucman originally resisted these activities, but with Thetford's encouragement, she began transcribing the communications she received. Over an amount of eight decades, Schucman transcribed what might become A Class in Wonders, amounting to three amounts: the Text, the Workbook for Students, and the Guide for Teachers.
